Ombuds

An Ombud is a confidential, impartial and informal resource for students to help resolve any campus-based conflict or concern. Ombuds help to identify the nature and scope of the problem, and then work with the student to identify options for resolution. An Ombud can help by coaching and consulting, identifying resources, providing information about U of M policies and procedures, and contacting others on a student’s behalf.

All actions taken by Ombuds are at the request of the student, and no action
will be taken without your knowledge and consent. Meeting with an Ombud is a great way to explore your concerns and determine a course of action in a confidential and informal manner.
